I know I should have updated this sooner, but I now realize how busy I am with 2 kids, and TRYING to recover from surgery. Plus Ray has taken over the computer...I'm not used to having to share my computer.
Ok, here's how the day went...
9:30am-Nana arrived at our house to care for Landon and off we went to the hospital
10am-Checked in at the front desk to 'get lypo suction' done(Ray just thought that was the funniest joke ever)
10:30am-IV was in and they monitored the baby for about 10mins(I guess I was having small contractions).
10:30am-12:20pm-Ray and I just chilled out in the room waiting on my Dr to get there. His Mom came up during that time too.
12:20pm-Dr showed up, they wheeled me into the OR and they did the Spinal and the nurses and Dr were getting everything ready for the surgery. It was kind of weird just laying there so calm and relaxed and talking with them, it was great!!!
Then once Ray came back there, they started! It was sooooooo awesome not to feel a thing(With Landon, I was in a lot of pain during the actual surgery...NO FUN) but this time I had the spinal so it was much stronger! I was so relaxed...I'm sure the morphine had NOTHING to do with it...LOL! The Dr and nurses really had to work hard to get her out. My Dr said that she wasn't coming anytime soon if I went natural. I felt differently from all the pressure I had before.
12:48pm-Kennedy Marie Norton was born! Weighing 7lbs 12oz, 20 1/4 in long! I could hear her crying all the way into the next room...she was NOT happy to be out. Her APGAR scores were 8 and 9...I was so pleased to hear that!!!!
This time they let Ray hold her and bring her to me while I was getting stitched back up...I could not believe how much she looked like Landon. Also this time we got a pic of us...I never got that with Landon.
