I know I should have updated this sooner, but I now realize how busy I am with 2 kids, and TRYING to recover from surgery. Plus Ray has taken over the computer...I'm not used to having to share my computer.
Ok, here's how the day went...
9:30am-Nana arrived at our house to care for Landon and off we went to the hospital
10am-Checked in at the front desk to 'get lypo suction' done(Ray just thought that was the funniest joke ever)
10:30am-IV was in and they monitored the baby for about 10mins(I guess I was having small contractions).
10:30am-12:20pm-Ray and I just chilled out in the room waiting on my Dr to get there. His Mom came up during that time too.
12:20pm-Dr showed up, they wheeled me into the OR and they did the Spinal and the nurses and Dr were getting everything ready for the surgery. It was kind of weird just laying there so calm and relaxed and talking with them, it was great!!!
Then once Ray came back there, they started! It was sooooooo awesome not to feel a thing(With Landon, I was in a lot of pain during the actual surgery...NO FUN) but this time I had the spinal so it was much stronger! I was so relaxed...I'm sure the morphine had NOTHING to do with it...LOL! The Dr and nurses really had to work hard to get her out. My Dr said that she wasn't coming anytime soon if I went natural. I felt differently from all the pressure I had before.
12:48pm-Kennedy Marie Norton was born! Weighing 7lbs 12oz, 20 1/4 in long! I could hear her crying all the way into the next room...she was NOT happy to be out. Her APGAR scores were 8 and 9...I was so pleased to hear that!!!!
This time they let Ray hold her and bring her to me while I was getting stitched back up...I could not believe how much she looked like Landon. Also this time we got a pic of us...I never got that with Landon.

And the swelling has begun...
UGH!!! My feet are HUGE! It happened overnight. I didn't swell when I was pg with Landon, only after. They hurt really bad. Stairs are NOT my friend right now. I might go get my BP checked just to make sure everything is ok there. I am TRYING to keep my feet up as much as I can, but it's so hard when I'm chasing Landon around, and to top it off my house is a MESS and it drives me CRAZY! She will be here in a little over a week, and I still have so much to do around here. Everything for her is done, I just need to clean and do the last grocery shopping trip before she comes. I also need to make sure all my bills are paid and such.
I am drinking as much water as I possibly can, but in turn I have to get up and pee more, which hurts on feet and back. So I'm kind of just stuck...I have to keep telling myself 'only 9 more days...'!

Full Term!
Yep that's right...Miss Kennedy is full term now! She can come into this world ANY DAY now and not have any problems(hopefully)! She will most likely have 2 more weeks in her 'home', then she will upgrade to a BIGGER home! I am READY for her to be here! Only like 12 more days! I am getting a little anxious about Landon. I am worried about how he will be while I am in the hospital and when I am recovering at home. He is so used to me doing EVERYTHING for him. Ray doesn't realize how much is going to have to help me with him.
I wasn't feeling too good last week. I started having irregular contractions Thursday evening, but they didn't last long. Then I got dehydrated Saturday and was having a lot of cramping. Once I drank a lot of water I was fine! I am ready for the numbness and joint pain in my hands to GO AWAY! It wakes me up at night and drives me crazy throughout the day! I didn't have this with Landon.
Like I keep saying...Ray is ALMOST done with her room. Right now he is caulking all the new trim then he will change out all the outlets and light switches. I CAN'T WAIT to move her stuff up there...it is taking over my down stairs.

In 3 weeks...
...I will be holding my daughter! YAY! Today I am TRYING to get a lot of the last minute stuff done. The main thing is getting the house ready...I don't want to worry about a dirty house when she comes home. I still need to buy some nursing bras/shirts, and misc baby stuff. I also need to cut/color my hair and get some waxing done. Maybe I can do that next week.
I'm feeling a lot more lower pressure these days. My belly is getting HUGE and I only have a few shirts that still fit. I have a Dr appt Thursday and he said he would measure her to see how big she is. I think she will be about 8lbs...I hoping smaller, but I doubt it. I am having trouble sleeping...mainly because my hands go numb all the time. It is driving me crazy!!! They do it all day long as well. My fingers are starting to swell a little bit...I can feel it and it hurts sometimes. I am TRYING to drink a lot of water during the day, but I get busy and forget.
Her room is ALMOST done..the only things we have left are painting the wains-coating and trim and put up new doors. I am READY to start moving her stuff up there. Ray ALWAYS waits until the last minute to get things done. I really wouldn't care, but I'm not going to be able to go up and down the stairs for a few weeks after she's born, so I want to make sure everything is where I need it to be.

Dr appt today
I had another Dr appt today! Good and bad news...
Good news-She is head down(which really doesn't matter, but it will be easier on the Dr during the c-sec)! If I do go into labor on my own, then he will just do the c/s then! So I won't have a VBAC and he won't try to stop labor! I am kind of hoping she comes earlier, but at the same time, I like everything to be planned! So only time will tell! He said that everything looked perfect, as usual! I had a dream last night that I was in the room getting prepped for surgery. I remember the gowns were all stylish this time! It was really exciting, but then I woke up and I was still HUGE and at home...hehehe.
Bad News-No u/s pics AGAIN..he tried to get her face, but she just wasn't having it. I remember getting a TON of Landon, and I would stare at them for hours trying to figure out who he looked like. I miss be able to do that with her, but I will be completely surprised when she comes out!
Her room is coming along...Ray has started putting up the wains-coating. Once he's done with that he will only have the chair rail to do then he will be finished! I was hoping it would be done by the time my shower rolled around(next Saturday), but I really don't think it will be finished.
Here's a pic of it after he painted (the pic really doesn't show the color that well, but you get the idea) It's more purple than blue, but for some reason it doesn't photograph well. Once it's finished I will post better pics.
Here is a pic of her bedding!

We have a plan...
...for Landon and the days his Mommy and sister will be in the hospital. Ray and I talked about it last night, and we decided that Ray will stay at home at night with Landon(I will just have to rely on the nurses to help me with Kennedy). I don't expect anyone to stay the night at the hospital with me. Then he will bring him over to my Mom's for the day and then she can come up and see us and bring Landon then Ray can take him home. I am just hoping that I'm not in there more than 2nights. If I have her Monday I SHOULD be able to come home Wednesday afternoon. I had Landon on a Thursday morning and came home Saturday afternoon...they said I could stay as long as I wanted, but I knew Ray was ready to come home...those little couches aren't too comfortable for a 6ft man.
Well I have another Dr appt tomorrow at 10:30am. I am going to ask him about my GTT numbers. I am also going to tell him about all the pressure and BH I have been having. I had them with Landon but not until like 38weeks. So I am just curious to see what he says.

Results of the 3hr test
Haha! I guess I forgot to post my results. I called them Friday to get my numbers etc...here's what she said
Fasting-they didn't give me this #
1hr-89
2hr-109
3hr-116(they want this number under 109)
She said I kind of failed. These numbers do not make any sense to me. I looked up what the numbers 'should' be...but mine aren't even close...so I'm a little confused. Here's the chart that I found.
Normal blood values for a 100-gram oral glucose tolerance test used to screen for gestational diabetes:
* Fasting: less than 95 mg/dL
* 1 hour: less than 180 mg/dL
* 2 hour: less than 155 mg/dL
* 3 hour: less than 140 mg/dL
I am going to call them tomorrow and double check my numbers...because they are just really low.
If they are correct, a dietitian will be calling me and setting up an appt. I have to limit my caloric intake to 2200/day...that seems really easy. I have never been a 'calorie counter' but I am now. I am trying to stay away from sugar and obviously things with high calories.

Installed...
I decided tonight that I would install the car seat base into my car...JUST IN CASE something would happen and I would have her early, I didn't want to have to worry about it. I have OCD about car seats..I HAVE to be the one that installs them. I know exactly how they should go, and I get them SUPER tight! I just feel much better when I know that I have done it!
I might go ahead and put the actual car seat in there, that way Landon can get used to seeing it next to him, and pretty soon he will be able to see his baby sister!!! =)
The room is kind of at a stand still...I have no idea why Ray hasn't been up there as much these past few weeks, but I am hoping he gets his butt in gear. I kind of want it almost finished by the time I have my Baby Shower, which is Aug 21st. That way everyone can see his handy work and the beautiful finished product!

I curse you GTT
I got a call yesterday from my Dr's office, and apparently I failed the 1hr glucose test. I can't say I'm completely surprised. This may have nothing to do with it, but I've noticed I've gained a lot of weight in a short period of time; more than a pound a week like I'm supposed to. My Dr doesn't care about the week to week number, just long term. But somehow I think this MAY have something to do with my body not processing sugars/carbs, but I will see after the 3hr test. I really want to get it done with, but I think I will have to wait until Wednesday when Ray is off work and can stay with Landon. Wish me luck!

STUBBORN
I am convinced I am going to have a stubborn daughter. I have YET to get any really good u/s pics of her. I went to the Dr today and she is still transverse(which is fine b/c I'm having a C-sec no matter what), but I really want to see her face! I got so many good ones of Landon. I guess she just wants us all to wait until her big day!
She is measuring 2lb 13oz right now, so almost 3 pounds! Woohoo! Dr said everything looks great! I finalized my C-sec date-Sept 27th at 12pm...well it was already final, but I just had to sign the paperwork today. So no turning back now! hehe!
11 more weeks and I will be holding my baby girl and this family will be COMPLETE!

Glucose Tolerance Test
I am excited(as always) to go see my Dr! I just LOVE getting u/s every time I go. I really want to see my baby girl's face tomorrow. She has been SO active, and I am loving every minute of it. Sept 27th can't come fast enough! We are ready for her arrival! Her room is only half way finished, but she won't be up there until she is sleeping through the night anyway. She already has plenty of clothes, I just need to get the breast pump and accessories organized. Nursing tops need to be bought as well, I didn't have any with Landon and wished I did.
I start my Third Trimester tomorrow..holy cow! I can't believe I am already this far along. This pregnancy has definitely gone faster than my first, despite the fact that I am feeling more 'aches and pains' this time around. It may be because I am more active with Landon and don't get to rest as much.
I am thinking about putting my 2 week notice into work. The job is just too physically demanding for me right now. My back will hurt so bad when I lay down the night after I work. Plus I only work 2 days a week (approx 8hr/week) so I'm not really losing much $ anyway. I do enjoy the 'freedom' I have away from Landon, and he gets to spend those days with his Nana and Papa! I may still bring him over there from time to time so I can get more stuff done around the house without him 'helping' me, but we will see.

Homemade Blanket
I decided that my baby girl needed something handmade by her Mommy! Daddy gets to do her room, so I wanted to do something special for her. I decided to make her a blanket. I absolutely LOVE the No-sew-tie-blankets. I haven't made one before, but I knew they were easy, so I gave it a shot. The pictures didn't turn out well, but the blanket did!!!!

It's the perfect size to cover her up while she's in her car seat, or just around the house. I will probably make some bigger ones as well. I was impressed by my first homemade blanket. I really enjoy doing crafty stuff, and wish I could make some money doing it, but since these are so easy and common there's isn't a big demand to buy them. If only I could think of a way to make mine more unique...um...brain storming...any ideas?
I laid out all the fabric
After I cut all the strips, I began to tie them
Almost done
FINISHED!
